We look forward to seeing you soon.  1) NAAM's Virtual Unity Benefit | Thursday, October 7 at 6pm PST | Virtual NAAM's annual Unity Benefit highlights NAAM's mission of advancing justice and equity through Black history, art, and culture. Karen Wilkins-Mickey, Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion of the Seattle Seahawks championship team is keynote speaker, and King5 news anchor Lionel Donovan will emcee. Four Pacific Northwest artists will be showcased during the program. Click HERE to register and donate. 2) A Virtual Afternoon with the Great-Great-Great Grandniece of Harriet Tubman | Sunday, October 17 at 3pm PST | Virtual As part of NAAM's Descendants Series, meet Tina Wyatt, the greatx3 grandniece of Harriet Tubman, the abolitionist known as the Moses of her people. This program will be moderated by Kiantha Duncan, president of the Spokane Branch NAACP and will feature vocal performances by NAAM's African American Cultural Ensemble (ACE). Click HERE to register. 3) 60th Anniversary of Dr. King's 1961 Visit to Seattle | Saturday, November 6 - Monday, November 8 2021 marks the 60th anniversary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s 1961 visit to Seattle. NAAM and a team of regional leaders and sponsors are working together to commemorate this historic visit. The three-day commemoration will culminate with an evening featuring Martin Luther King, III speaking from the very same Seattle stage as his beloved father exactly 60 years later.
