Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.

BUILD's covid-19 statement

4/16/2020

Blacks United In Leadership and Diversity (BUILD) would like to take a moment and connect with our community.
These may be scary times for many of us; filled with uncertainty of what the future holds and fear about our economic stability and the health and wellness of ourselves, loved ones, and friends. In these times, we may want to shrink into ourselves and away from those things that may frighten us. BUILD wants to share that we are thinking of you.

You are not alone in your fear and suffering. We are with you. We are in this together and together we will get through this. We may be isolated physically but we are still a community. Please reach out to one another, check in on each other, and support one another.

To stay informed on the facts of COVID-19 and what we should be doing and avoiding, visit:
  • Washington State’s Coronavirus Response Website
  • Washington State Department of Health’s Coronavirus Website
  • Washington State Governor Jay Inslee’s Coronavirus Website
  • US Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Coronavirus Website

The Governor’s and Employment Security Department’s websites contains numerous categories of resources, including those for local businesses and individuals financially impacted by closures and reduction in work. Please share this information with those who may be concerned about the financial impacts of this pandemic.

The Employee Assistance Program is also a resource for Washington State employees and their family members.

Black people have been and will continue to be a resilient people. Like so many challenges past, present, and future, this too shall pass; we are with you and our allies during these difficult times.
