To BUILD, on behalf of RAIN

A message from the Rainbow Alliance and Inclusion Network (RAIN), a fellow Washington State BRG.

Greetings RAIN Community,

It’s heartbreaking to process the recent deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery. We want all who are experiencing grief to know that RAIN’S Advisory Council stands with you, and we will continue working to make Washington more safe, welcoming, and inclusive.

We are sharing the below message from the BUILD BRG in solidarity with the Black community, many who are themselves members of the LGBTQ+ community. BUILD was established to improve the experiences of current and future Black employees, increase the representation of Black people in leadership positions, give voice to Black perspectives in policy decisions about Washington communities, and build each other up as we move forward.
